CBD research

What is CBD?

CBD (cannabidiol) is one of the main cannabinoids produced by hemp plants.  CBD has no intoxicating effects, but it does have a number of positive influences on our bodies. To the present day, more than a hundred cannabinoids have been discovered. Over the last decades, hemp has been reduced to the psychoactive (intoxicating) effects of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). This demonization impeded any research concerning the extremely powerful healing effects of hemp plants.  Since new strains of hemp with a high amount of CBD – and without intoxicating effects – were successfully grown, the development of highly useful drugs based on cannabis is booming worldwide.

Pharmacology of cannabinoids

Several cannabinoid receptors have been found in human bodies. They are located inside our brains, within the central nervous system and at most of our organs. So far, the exact interaction is not yet fully understood. And still, it is an undisputed fact that several – in part even severe – diseases can be positively influenced. Almost weekly, we receive news about new studies proving amazing curative effects of hemp products. Therefore, the large number of patents filed on modes of action of cannabis throughout the last years doesn’t come as a surprise.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][grve_single_image image=”194″][grve_single_image image=”196″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row bg_type=”color” bg_color=”#939393″ font_color=”#ffffff” padding_top=”50px” padding_bottom=”50px”][vc_column][grve_slogan title=”” heading=”h3″ text_style=”leader-text” align=”center” el_class=”fontWhite”]Cannabinoids and Terpenes contained in hemp have healing and regenerative effects on diverse diseases and common problems.[/grve_slogan][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][grve_single_image image=”195″][grve_single_image image=”203″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

For human well-being

Healing or regenerative effects of cannabinoids and terpenes included in hemp was proven in cases of nausea or insomnia, for several types of cancer, the regeneration of bones, muscular diseases, several different inflammatory problems, at pain therapies, for gastrointestinal diseases, malfunctions of the immune system, eye diseases, hypertension, brain injuries, Alzheimer, diverse psychological illnesses and a large number of other very common diseases and problems. And research is going on. Let’s be curious and see what else will be discovered in future.

What exactly does Swiss Hanf Production AG do?

Experience has shown that origin and hybridization of different strains of hemp results in highly varying amounts of the different active agents these plants include. The proportions of THC and CBD, and thus also the pharmacological and phytotherapeutic effects, for instance, vary a lot. With high dedication, we are thus selecting different strains of hemp and introducing latest findings into the areas of plant protection, pharmacology and food technologies.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row bg_type=”color” footer_feature=”yes” bg_color=”#5c9800″ padding_top=”20″ padding_bottom=”20″][vc_column width=”2/3″][grve_slogan title=”” heading=”h3″ text_style=”leader-text” el_class=”fontWhite”]Of course, we will be pleased also to advice you personally.[/grve_slogan][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][grve_button button_color=”white” button_text=”Contact us” button_link=”url:http%3A%2F%2Fwww.swisshanf-ag.ch%2Fen%2Fcontact-en%2F|||”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
